Environmental Performance Index and the World Performance

Sustaintable_liveEnvironmental Performance Index (EPI) is a numerical scaling describing the environmental impact on public health and ecosystem with a single figure. It provides an empirically grounded basis for comparing the environmental performance of countries worldwide. For instance, the 2010 EPI ranks 163 countries on 25 such environmental performance indicators. These 25 performance indicators tracks across ten well-established policy categories covering both environmental public health and ecosystem vitality. These are a mixed bag of indicators ranging from air and water quality to biodiversity and the use of pesticides.
